A Successful First Edition! 👂✨
On September 28, we held the very first Dream Big Community Clinic, offering free hearing screenings to newcomers and families from Saint-Laurent supported by CARI St-Laurent.
Thanks to the incredible collaboration of six audiology master’s students from the Université de Montréal and the expertise of Myriam Boudreau, a dedicated audiologist from Santé auditive MB, nearly 60 hearing tests were completed throughout the day.
A huge thank-you to Hany Ghonaim, founder of ODYO, and Marie-Josée Richard from AQEPA Montréal Régional, who enthusiastically joined this new initiative! We also extend our thanks to the entire CARI Saint-Laurent team, without whom this day would not have been possible.
Building on the success of this first edition, a second clinic day will take place in 2026, offering 45-minute full hearing exams to the participants identified. These follow-ups will allow many of them to receive subsidized hearing aids provided by the Valsef Dream Big Foundation.
Stay tuned for more on this wonderful initiative!
