Riding Together for a Cause at Le Week-End pour combattre le cancer

Earlier this month, Team Dream Big proudly took part in Le Week-End pour combattre le cancer (The Ride to Conquer Cancer). Employees from Valnet, Valsoft, Valstone, and Permanent Corp came together to cycle through the beautiful Vaudreuil-Soulanges region, all in support of the incredible work being done at the Segal Cancer Centre at the Jewish General Hospital. Our own team raised $1,329, which was matched by the Valsef Dream Big Foundation, bringing our total contribution to $2,658.

From the moment everyone arrived in their Dream Big cycling jerseys, there was a real sense of excitement. The weather could not have been better, and for many of our team members, this was their very first Ride to Conquer Cancer. Whether they were riding for a loved one, for those currently facing cancer, or simply because they wanted to make a difference, everyone showed up with the same goal: to support a cause that touches so many lives.

Together, participants helped raise more than $1.4 million for the Segal Cancer Centre. The funds will help advance personalized cancer care by supporting early detection, diagnosis, innovative treatments, and patient support programs.

A big thank you goes to our team captain, Noor Al-Haiek, for bringing everyone together and making sure the day ran smoothly. Organizing a team takes time and energy, and we are grateful for all the work that happened behind the scenes.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing everyone together. Colleagues from different companies who may never have crossed paths before were riding side by side, encouraging one another and sharing the experience. That sense of community is exactly what Dream Big is all about.
