At Valsef Dream Big Foundation, we believe that every child deserves an environment that supports their well-being and success. To help bring that vision to life, the Foundation proudly awarded $10,400 to École des Grands-Êtres in Saint-Laurent to transform an underused room into SÈVES (Simulation Encadrée Visant un État Serein), a dedicated space designed to help students feel calm, supported, and empowered.
Created with inclusion in mind, SÈVES provides a welcoming environment where students can regulate emotions, develop social-emotional skills, express their creativity, and build confidence. The space will serve students from both regular classrooms and specialized programs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This fall, all 550 students at École des Grands-Êtres will have access to this unique resource, creating a lasting impact on their daily school experience.
To celebrate the completion of the project, the school's teaching staff gathered for a special inauguration morning attended by Véronnik Marcil, Executive Director of Valsef Dream Big Foundation, offering educators an opportunity to discover the space and its benefits for students. We are proud to support initiatives that foster inclusion, well-being, and opportunity for young people.
We extend our sincere thanks to Sophie, Marie, the entire team at École des Grands-Êtres, and the Centre de services scolaire Marguerite-Bourgeoys (CSSMB) for their partnership in bringing this meaningful project to life.
Together, we are creating spaces where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
